Diffa hosts regional workshop on land governance and conflict prevention

In Diffa, Niger, a regional workshop has opened to address land governance, pastoral mobility, and conflict prevention. The event aims to strengthen the skills of various stakeholders regarding the Rural Code and institutional mechanisms for managing natural resources.

Led by regional Secretary-General Mahamadou Attahirou Maidouka, the workshop brings together local administrators, security forces, judicial officials, and civil society organizations. The initiative focuses on resolving disputes related to land access, pastoral resources, and transhumance corridors, which are critical due to the region's proximity to Nigeria and Chad.
