Digital Extremes releases Soulframe Preludes 16 update

Digital Extremes has released the Preludes 16: Of Hook & Hound update for its fantasy RPG, Soulframe. The update introduces several community-requested features designed to make the world of Alca feel more reactive and alive.

Key additions include a fishing system and a new dynamic weather system that impacts combat. Players can also interact with wolf pups, which can be trained through activities such as playing fetch, feeding them fish, or petting them. These interactions influence the pup's stats and the beneficial auras they provide to the player. While the pups are not yet mounts, Digital Extremes confirmed that adult wolves intended for use as mounts are expected in the upcoming Warsongs update.

CEO Steve Sinclair noted that the update incorporates more casual, “MMO-light” features to complement the core combat experience.
