Digital terrestrial television undergoes channel and frequency update

The end of August has brought a comprehensive update to the digital terrestrial television system, involving a revision of the complete channel list and national broadcast frequencies.

To align televisions or decoders with these changes, users are advised to perform an automatic channel search. This process corrects numbering errors and recovers channels that may have disappeared due to recent technical shifts.

The national Logical Channel Numbering (LCN) maintains its core structure, with the first nine positions occupied by major networks including Rai 1 HD, Rai 2 HD, Rai 3 TGR Regione, Rete4 HD, Canale5 HD, Italia1 HD, LA7 HD, TV8 HD, and Nove. Local broadcasters occupy the 10 through 19 range.

Certain numbering conflicts have been noted, specifically where standard definition and high definition versions of channels such as Rai 4, Rai Premium, and Rai News 24 overlap, which may require manual verification via remote control.
