Digital Tutoring program launches in Greece for 45 subjects
The Greek Ministry of Education has launched the third year of its Digital Tutoring program, providing free live and asynchronous educational support to students nationwide. Starting Monday, September 28, the program offers live instruction in 45 subjects relevant to Panhellenic exams for students in high schools (GEL), vocational schools (EPAL), and other secondary tracks (ENEEGYL).
With the participation of 81 educators, the platform covers general education, orientation, and specialized subjects such as Linear and Architectural Drawing, as well as five foreign languages. The program also provides asynchronous resources, including video lessons and practice exams, available for students from the 5th grade of primary school through secondary education.
Minister of Education Sofia Zacharaki emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their geographic location or family income. Looking forward, the Ministry plans to expand live teaching to the first and second years of high school and is developing 'EduAI'—an artificial intelligence tool scheduled for 2027 to provide personalized feedback and identify learning gaps. Additionally, a digital learning assistant, 'AI Tutor,' has been developed in collaboration with Microsoft.
