DigitalES Summit 2024 gathers Spain's tech leaders in Madrid

The ninth DigitalES Summit took place in Madrid on 24‑25 June 2024, hosted at the Real Fábrica de Tapices. Under the theme “Siente el latido digital,” the event attracted around 900 delegates and more than 60 speakers, including senior officials from Spain’s digital ministries and the European Commission.

Key participants included Minister Óscar López, Secretary‑General María González Veracruz, and telecom chief Antonio Hernando, alongside EU officials such as Daniel Calleja and Renate Nikolay. Executives from Telefónica España, Orange, Digi, Cellnex, Ericsson, Vodafone, Huawei, Fujitsu, Nokia and others also spoke.

Discussions focused on artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, European technological sovereignty, cybersecurity, digital safety for minors, talent development and dual‑use technologies. Organisers highlighted Spain’s recent AI law, the launch of the EU’s first AI supervisory agency and plans for quantum‑technology strategies.
