Dilip Ghosh claims BJP support ahead of West Bengal by-elections

West Bengal minister Dilip Ghosh has expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of upcoming by-elections in the Nandigram and Rajinagar constituencies. Speaking in Cooch Behar, Ghosh claimed that the public supports the BJP and asserted that the opposition lacks viable candidates to contest the elections.

Addressing the arrest of Congress candidate Milan Pradhan in Nandigram, Ghosh stated that law enforcement is acting against those who have used antisocial elements to conduct politics. He also commented on former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s decision to approach the Supreme Court regarding the Election Commission's decision to freeze the Trinamool Congress (TMC) name and symbol, suggesting that her legal challenges would continue for a long time.
