Dimitris Karydis, Mayor of Fourni Korseon, passes away
Dimitris Karydis, the Mayor of Fourni Korseon in the North Aegean region, has passed away at the age of 57. He died while receiving medical treatment at the General Hospital of Samos.
Karydis first assumed office in December 2020, succeeding Giannis Marousis. He was re-elected in October 2023, securing 60.90% of the vote. His administration focused on addressing the specific challenges of small island municipalities, including infrastructure, transportation, and healthcare.
