Death and funeral of Mayor Dimitris Karydis

Overview

Dimitris Karydis, the Mayor of Fourni Korseon in the North Aegean region, passed away at the age of 57 while receiving medical treatment at the General Hospital of Samos. Karydis had held office since December 2020 and was re-elected in October 2023.

Following his death, residents of the Fourni islands held a maritime funeral ceremony.
