Dinamo Bucharest confronts tripled transfer price as new coach Nuno Campos readies debut

Dinamo Bucharest entered negotiations for a striker, initially submitting an offer of one leu. Club representatives later demanded three to four times that amount, prompting Dinamo to abandon the pursuit. As Andrei Nicolescu explained, “agents asked us to make a certain offer… the president quoted one leu, then the club asked for three or four times more,” describing the sudden price surge. The club noted that the Romanian market is becoming weaker compared with Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, and highlighted its recent activity of signing seven players this window, including goalkeepers and defenders such as Oliver Hintsa and Ștefan Opriș.

New head coach Nuno Campos will make his official debut on 19 July against Petrolul. In a press conference he addressed supporters, saying, “I want to say a few words to our fans… it is essential to transmit the warmth of the fans to the dressing room.” He stressed the team’s mentality, “we must be at Dinamo to win every match,” and spoke about building a strong identity, patience in player recruitment, and improving both defensive and offensive play.

The club aims to solidify its squad and identity ahead of the new season while navigating a challenging transfer environment.
