Dinamo Bucharest hires Nuno Campos after Zeljko Kopic’s abrupt exit

Former club president Florin Prunea disclosed that coach Zeljko Kopic had planned a ten‑player transfer overhaul, but the board failed to meet his demands. Tensions with president Andrei Nicolescu over transfer policy led Prunea to say the club had wanted to dismiss Kopic long before his departure. Former striker Ionel Dănciulescu echoed the view, describing a rupture between the administrative and technical sides after the playoff loss to FCSB.

Within two days, Dinamo announced Portuguese coach Nuno Campos as Kopic’s successor. Campos, 51, conducted his first training session at the club’s Săftica facility, focusing on young squad members and recent loan arrivals. The team will embark on a pre‑season camp in Poland, playing friendlies against Gornik Leczna, Motor Lublin and Omonia Nicosia before the Superliga resumes in July.
