Diocese of Setúbal launches expanded pastoral formation program

The Diocese of Setúbal issued a letter to priests, deacons, seminarians and pastoral agents urging continued formation amid cultural and social changes. It announced the reopening of the Escola da Fé e dos Ministérios, offering training for catechists, lectors, extraordinary communion ministers, group leaders, council members and other pastoral workers. The diocese highlighted the need to bring formation to remote areas and to overcome mobility obstacles that limit participation.

The appeal calls on parish priests, vicars and diocesan officials to expand and mobilize these educational initiatives so that more faithful can deepen their knowledge of the faith and improve pastoral competence.
