The Diputación de Pontevedra has committed to extending the funding agreement for the humanization of San Roque Street in Vigo. Vice President Luisa Sánchez confirmed that approximately 1.6 million euros in provincial funds will remain available to the Vigo City Council to ensure the project, spanning between Gregorio Espino and Ruiseñor streets, can proceed. The extension will last until September 2027.
The total budget for the San Roque project is 2,271,099 euros, with the provincial institution covering 69% (1,569,494 euros) and the local council providing the remaining 31% (701,605 euros).
In a separate announcement, Provincial Deputy Roberto Carrero stated that the Diputación will provide 570,000 euros to fully fund a municipal paving plan in Tomiño. This initiative, part of the +Provincia 2026-2027 plan, will cover the improvement and paving of 25 sections of municipal roads across 10 different parishes in the municipality.
