Diputación de Pontevedra invests in infrastructure projects in Mondariz and Salvaterra

The Diputación de Pontevedra is advancing several infrastructure and landscape recovery projects across the province through its 'Plan Provincia Extraordinaria – Plan Extra' program.

In Mondariz, the provincial government has signed an agreement to invest €500,000 toward the €780,000 recovery of the O Val river beach. The project aims to optimize existing infrastructure, renovate sports tracks, improve lighting, and relocate parking to restore the natural riverbank. The initiative is designed to boost sustainable tourism and local economic development while ensuring environmental respect.

In Salvaterra de Miño, officials inaugurated the humanization of the Cabreira district. Funded by a €550,000 investment from the Diputación, the project focused on increasing pedestrian space, improving accessibility with wider walkways, and upgrading essential services. Improvements include the installation of LED lighting, new sanitation and water supply networks, and the undergrounding of telecommunications and low-voltage lines.
