Directorate of Ports confirms Filo Jet captain's license is valid

The Directorate of Ports has issued a formal statement addressing claims regarding the validity of the captain's license for the vessel Filo Jet. The Directorate clarified that the captain's certification, issued by the Republic of Honduras, is a valid Seafarer Competency Certificate recognized under international maritime standards.

According to the statement, Honduras is among the countries recognized and approved by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) under relevant international conventions. The validity and authenticity of the document were verified through official channels, including the internet addresses and electronic mail contacts provided by the issuing authority in the IMO's official records.

Following the verification procedures established by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), the Directorate confirmed that the Filo Jet captain's license is authentic and remains valid until October 30, 2029.
