Disability support programs announced in Cyprus and Greece
In Cyprus, the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth has announced special MIEEK programs aimed at creating inclusive learning environments for adults with disabilities. The initiative seeks to develop skills and knowledge through individualized educational paths. Applications are being accepted, with each case undergoing a personalized assessment of interests, previous skills, and specific support needs to ensure appropriate placement.
In Greece, the application platform for the ‘Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities’ program is open until November 27. The program provides financial support ranging from 416 to 1,939 euros per month, depending on the level of need identified during assessment. Eligible applicants include individuals aged 16 to 67 (with some exceptions up to 75) with a primary disability of at least 67% or those in a state of absolute disability, provided they meet specific residency and income criteria.
