Overview

Disability support and special education initiatives have been introduced in Cyprus and Greece. In Cyprus, the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth announced MIEEK programs to create inclusive learning environments for adults through individualized educational paths and personalized assessments.

In Greece, social welfare and educational upgrades are being implemented. The ‘Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities’ program offers monthly financial support between 416 and 1,939 euros for eligible individuals based on assessed needs.

Additionally, the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports has allocated 2.4 million euros for the Sectoral Development Program 2026-2030.
