Disney launches 2026 Halloween season and Oogie Boogie Bash

Disney has launched its 2026 Halloween season across its theme parks, highlighted by the return of the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure. The separately ticketed event runs on select nights from August 18 through October 31.

For the 2026 season, Yzma from ‘The Emperor’s New Groove’ makes her debut as a featured character. Other scheduled appearances include Maleficent, Hades, and various characters from the Haunted Mansion and Marvel franchises. Magic Key holders attending the event can access exclusive perks, including a keepsake gift featuring Yzma and Kronk, special photo opportunities, and dedicated treat stops.

Due to the nature of the Oogie Boogie Bash, regular guests at Disney California Adventure will be required to leave the park at 6:00 p.m. on event nights to make way for ticket holders.

At Walt Disney World, seasonal transformations are also underway, including new fall-themed merchandise at EPCOT and festive decorations like Mickey Jack O' Lanterns at Magic Kingdom.
