Disney+ launches new app across MENA region

Disney+ has officially launched its new application across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, including the UAE. The new app features enhanced parental controls via a dedicated Junior Mode, smarter personalized recommendations, and improved travel streaming capabilities that allow access across supported international markets.

While existing subscriptions and billing remain unchanged, the transition involves a significant loss of user data. Profiles, Watchlists, and viewing histories will not be transferred to the new application. Consequently, users will need to rebuild their viewing preferences and history from scratch upon logging in with their existing email or phone number. The current application is scheduled to cease functioning on 5 November 2026.
