Disney Plus announces new productions for Shogun and The One Shot

Production for the second season of the FX drama series ‘Shogun’ has concluded. Filming took place in Vancouver, Canada, and a special video was released featuring lead actor and executive producer Hiroyuki Sanada alongside new cast members, including Ren Meguro, Asami Mizukawa, and Masataka Kubota.

Set ten years after the events of the first season, the series follows the complex fates of characters from different worlds. The first season achieved significant critical success, winning 18 Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards.

Additionally, Disney Plus has announced a second season of the Japanese original variety series ‘The One Shot’. The production, which features comedians writing and directing short films, follows the success of its first season, which ranked as the number one most-watched Japanese original variety program on the platform within its first 14 days of release.
