Disney prepares for ESPN’s first Super Bowl broadcast
Disney is preparing for a landmark broadcasting event as ESPN will air Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. This marks the first time the network will produce the championship game.
Disney CFO Hugh Johnston previously announced that the company had already sold out its advertising inventory for the event, with 58 brands across 34 categories participating. Despite this, Disney is reportedly gauging interest from additional advertisers to potentially replace existing sponsors, seeking between $10 million and $12 million per 30-second slot.
In addition to traditional broadcasts on ABC and ESPN, Disney+ will live-stream the game to subscribers in the United States and over 55 international markets. The streaming expansion includes access to English- and Spanish-language broadcasts, as well as select Monday Night Football regular-season games leading up to the Super Bowl.
