Disney promotes ‘Coven Academy’ series in Los Angeles

Disney is celebrating the upcoming premiere of its new series ‘Coven Academy’ through various promotional events in Los Angeles. The series, created by Tim Federle, follows a group of teen witch apprentices protecting New Orleans from ancient forces. It is scheduled to premiere on Freeform on October 1, with streaming availability on Disney+ and Hulu the following day.

Promotional activities include a themed takeover of the Olive & James cafe on Melrose Avenue, which features ‘magical’ matcha and frozen yogurt creations inspired by the show’s characters. The cafe has been decorated to resemble a witchy apothecary. Additionally, the cast and creator held a premiere celebration at the historic Ennis House, featuring tarot card readings, crystals, and a themed dinner. Cast members Malina Pauli Weissman, Jordan Leftwich, Louis Thresher, and Swayam Bhatia participated in red carpet discussions regarding the series.
