Disney+ releases new stills for ‘Remarried Empress’ series

Disney+ has released new promotional stills for the upcoming original series ‘Remarried Empress’, scheduled for release on November 4. Based on a popular webtoon and web novel, the romance fantasy epic follows Empress Navier (Shin Min-a) as she navigates a divorce from Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon) and seeks approval to remarry Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom.

The new images highlight shifting romantic dynamics among the four central characters. While the Emperor and Empress initially appear to have a stable relationship, the arrival of Prince Heinrey and the Emperor's growing fascination with Rasta (Lee Se-young) create significant tension. The stills depict key moments, including Heinrey's formal introduction to the court and a ballroom scene that illustrates the fractured relationships between the protagonists.

The series is directed by Cho Su-won and written by Yeo Ji-na and Hyun Chung-yeol.
