Disney+ to become global streaming platform for Formula E

Formula E, Disney+, and ESPN have reached an agreement to make Disney+ the global streaming platform for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Starting with the 2026/27 season, the service will cover 144 countries and territories, while ESPN+ will handle broadcasts in the United States.

This partnership aims to expand the championship's reach to millions of new households through the Disney ecosystem. The streaming service will complement existing media partnerships and linear television channels rather than replacing them. Subscribers will gain access to full coverage of every race weekend, including free practice sessions, qualifying, and the races themselves.

In addition to live broadcasts, the platform will offer pre-race shows, post-race analysis, race highlights, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and on-demand replays immediately following each event. Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds noted that the deal reflects the championship's momentum and provides a platform to accelerate global growth during the upcoming GEN4 era.
