Disney to permanently close Expedition Everest single rider line

Disney has confirmed the permanent closure of the single rider line for the Expedition Everest attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, effective Monday, September 21. This change leaves the park without a single rider option for any of its attractions.

The company stated the decision follows tests of a new loading procedure implemented earlier this year. According to Disney, the new process improved standby line efficiency to the point where the single rider line no longer provided the time-saving experience guests expect. Disney clarified that while the single rider line is being removed here, such lines remain useful at select other attractions to help staff fill empty seats in ride vehicles.
