Walt Disney World has announced several updates for its upcoming holiday season and long-term attraction refurbishments.

The Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom is undergoing a significant reimagining, with a scheduled reopening in late spring 2027. Updates include new historical scenes covering the 1960s, 1980s, and the new millennium, as well as the return of voice actress Debi Derryberry in the role of Grandmother.

Seasonal holiday overlays will be implemented across multiple attractions. From November 4 through January 6, Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land will feature a festive soundtrack titled ‘Lilypad’s Jams’. Additionally, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will debut an ‘Obligatory Holiday Overlay’ with new musical tracks. At EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will feature a holiday playlist from November 25 through January 6.

Disney has also introduced new holiday-themed merchandise, including jewelry at Magic Kingdom’s Uptown Jewelers and exclusive collections for the Disney Jollywood Nights event at Hollywood Studios.
