Disney updates Star Wars lightsaber experience at theme parks

Disney has introduced updates to the Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers experience within the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands at both Disneyland Park in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.

As an upcharge attraction, the 30-minute experience allows guests to build custom lightsabers under the guidance of a cast member known as a “Gatherer.” The update introduces new features to the four existing lightsaber categories: Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, and Protection and Defense. Some categories now include additional options linked to specific points in the Star Wars timeline, featuring new evolutions in chassis and blade construction.
