Disney World removes final traces of Expedition Everest Single Rider line

Walt Disney World Resort has completed the removal of all physical traces of the Single Rider line at the Expedition Everest attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This follows the permanent closure of the solo queue on September 20.

The transition began earlier this year with the testing of a new boarding process. Instead of using a Single Rider line to fill empty seats, cast members now sort guests in the standard queue into two groups based on party size—evens and odds. This method has reportedly improved train loading efficiency and reduced overall wait times, making the dedicated Single Rider line redundant.

Recent updates include the removal of signage directing guests to the former entrance, with remaining signs now focusing on the adjacent Serka Zong Bazaar. Additionally, a new safety video has been implemented in the attraction's queue.
