Disney and Universal theme parks announce 2026 Halloween events
Major theme parks are preparing for the 2026 Halloween season with various special events and attractions.
At Disney California Adventure, the Oogie Boogie Bash features the Villains Grove, a self-guided sensory experience, and the Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake parade. While the event allows guests to wear costumes, including those of Disney characters, strict regulations are in place. Costumes must be family-friendly and non-obstructive, and guests dressed as characters are prohibited from posing for photos or signing autographs.
Universal Orlando is celebrating the 35th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, starting August 28. The event includes ten haunted houses, such as Cybergoria, Evil Dead Burn, and a debut Hellraiser house, alongside various scare zones and themed dining options. Universal Studios Hollywood is also hosting Halloween Horror Nights with curated horror-themed cuisine and exclusive merchandise through November 1.
