Disney announces Lakeshore Lodge opening and 2026 holiday plans
Walt Disney World has announced the official opening date for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, a new nature-inspired waterfront resort on Bay Lake, set for July 1, 2027. The resort will feature 967 accommodations, including themed rooms and villas inspired by films such as “Bambi”, “Pocahontas”, “Encanto”, and “Brother Bear”. Booking windows will open in phases starting October 6, 2026, for Disney Vacation Club members, followed by Annual Passholders on October 7, and the general public on October 8.
Separately, Disneyland Resort has detailed its 2026 holiday season, which will run from November 13, 2026, to January 6, 2027. The festivities will include updated holiday attire for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the return of “A Christmas Fantasy Parade”, and the “Believe... in Holiday Magic” fireworks show. Other seasonal offerings include the “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure and various themed culinary experiences.
At Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will continue to offer seasonal entertainment and dining, with specific reservation windows opening in September for various dining experiences.
