Disney has announced several upcoming expansions and seasonal plans for its theme parks and resorts. Planned amenities include a mini water park with a lazy river, scenic trails, waterfront dining, and water taxi access to Magic Kingdom Park. A standout feature includes waterfront lake houses offering views of Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Booking for the lodge has moved through its planned phases: Disney Vacation Club members gained access first, followed by Annual Passholders, and as of October 8, 2026, reservations have officially opened to the general public. Disney Vacation Club members may also participate in a ‘First Wave’ exclusive experience from June 24 through June 27, 2027.

Disneyland Resort has outlined its 2026 holiday season, running from November 13, 2026, to January 6, 2027. Festivities include the return of ‘A Christmas Fantasy Parade’, the ‘Believe... in Holiday Magic’ fireworks show, and ‘World of Color – Season of Light’ at Disney California Adventure.
