Disney’s ‘Descendants: Wicked Wonderland’ debuts on Disney+

The fifth installment of Disney’s Descendants franchise, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, premiered on Disney Channel on July 16 2026 and was added to Disney+ the following day. The film follows Red (Kylie Cantrall), the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe Charming (Malia Baker), the daughter of Cinderella, as they confront new threats after their time‑travel adventure. Maddox Hatter captures the Queen of Hearts, prompting Red, Chloe, Red’s newly discovered sister Pink, Luis Madrigal (Alexandro Byrd), Hazel Hook and others to rescue her and save Wonderland.

Production wrapped in Vancouver, British Columbia, where cast members reflected on the story’s themes of leadership, identity and friendship. The ensemble also features Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Brandy Norwood as Cinderella, Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter and Liamani Segura as Pink. The film’s musical numbers are highlighted as central to the franchise’s appeal.
