Disney's Hollywood Studios prepares for new animation attraction

Disney's Hollywood Studios is preparing for the September 14 opening of 'The Magic of Disney Animation'. Cast member previews have commenced, a standard operational phase where staff test the flow, timing, and logistics of the attraction before it opens to the public.

The new attraction features four distinct experiences under one roof: 'Olaf Draws', which utilizes a new Audio-Animatronic; various character meet-and-greets across six themed departments; 'Drawn to Wonderland', a supervised play area; and 'The Once Upon a Studio Theater', which operates on a fixed show length and seating cycle.

The reimagined Animation Courtyard serves as a centerpiece, featuring a replica of the Roy E. Disney Animation Building topped with Mickey Mouse’s Sorcerer Hat. The area also displays various character statues, including figures from 'Cinderella', 'Dumbo', 'Big Hero 6', 'Aladdin', and 'Moana'.
