Disney's Tower of Terror undergoes exterior refurbishment

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is undergoing an extensive exterior refurbishment. The project, which began in May, involved installing scaffolding around the attraction’s outdoor queue, gift shop, and the hotel’s front facade to address the building's distinctive pink paintwork, balconies, and decorative details.

As of late October, scaffolding has been removed from the upper sections of the 199-foot tall Hollywood Tower Hotel, revealing a refreshed paint job. Despite the scale of the maintenance work, the attraction has remained operational throughout the process, with Disney maintaining access to the elevator shafts for guest rides.

Speculation regarding new narration for the attraction surfaced after Mark Silverman, the voice of Rod Serling for the ride since 1994, was seen visiting Walt Disney Imagineering. However, Silverman clarified that his visit was for personal reasons, stating he was at the Imagineering store to purchase a T-shirt.
