Federal District candidates intensify 2026 election campaigns

As the 2026 elections approach, candidates for the Government of the Federal District (GDF) are intensifying their campaigns through debates, policy presentations, and public scrutiny.

During recent debates, candidates such as Kiko Caputo, José Roberto Arruda, and Ricardo Cappelli have focused on public service improvements. A recurring theme is the comparison between the Federal District and the neighboring state of Goiás, with candidates using Goiás's performance in education, health, and security as a benchmark to criticize current local management.
