The Distrito Federal region and surrounding areas experienced hailstorms on Thursday, September 24. Residents in Taguatinga, Samambaia, Asa Norte, and Águas Lindas reported significant precipitation, with some streets in Samambaia being covered in hail.

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) predicts that rainy weather will persist through the weekend. Meteorologist Olivio Bahia noted that the current spring season, influenced by El Niño, is contributing to warmer and more humid conditions, which increases atmospheric instability and the likelihood of further storms and hail.

Temperatures are expected to remain high, with highs reaching up to 32°C on Saturday.
