Distrito Federal political landscape sees tech sector meetings and black candidate mobilization
Political activities in the Distrito Federal are intensifying ahead of upcoming elections. ASSESPRO-DF and SINDESEI-DF have launched a series of meetings with candidates for the Government of the Federal District to discuss technology and innovation. The first session featured Arruda, focusing on digital transformation and the development of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) ecosystem. Subsequent meetings are scheduled with various candidates, including Cappelli, Celina Leão, Kiko Caputo, Leandro Grass, and Paula Belmonte.
Simultaneously, black political movements in the region held the 1st Meeting of Black Candidates from the Democratic Field of the DF. Organized by several collectives, including Nosso Coletivo Negro do DF and Movimento Negro Unificado, the event gathered 25 candidates from multiple parties, including PT, PSOL, and PSB. The mobilization aims to increase effective black representation in decision-making roles and includes the signing of a commitment letter to combat racism and sexism.
