Austria and Croatia report fatal diving accident and yacht sinking

Several incidents have been reported across Austria and Croatia. In Austria, a 57-year-old diver died at Attersee following an uncontrolled emergency ascent from a depth of approximately 80 meters. In Brodersdorf, a 19-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into a multi-party residential building; the driver sustained serious injuries, and the building is currently considered at risk of collapse.

In Croatia, an Austrian-flagged yacht sank overnight at the Marina Tribunj. Two passengers managed to escape the vessel before it was almost entirely submerged. Authorities deployed oil barriers to prevent environmental damage, and the yacht has since been recovered. Additionally, a pufferfish, known for containing the potent toxin tetrodotoxin, was caught by a fisherman near Rijeka and is scheduled to be displayed at a local natural history museum.

Other reported accidents include a vehicle collision against a house wall in Wiehl, Germany, resulting in minor injuries, and various traffic disruptions caused by local incidents.
