Divinópolis and Cruzeiro do Sul launch expanded public vaccination programs in Brazil

The municipality of Divinópolis in Minas Gerais announced a week‑long schedule (July 13‑17) for its Vacimóvel mobile unit and itinerant vaccination teams. No appointment is required; residents need only a photo ID, and lack of a vaccine card will not prevent service. The effort aims to increase flu immunisation, update vaccination records and broaden overall coverage.

In the Amazonian city of Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, the mayor signed a decree establishing a School Vaccination Program. The initiative will bring immunisation services to public schools, prioritising children and adolescents, with the possibility of expanding to older students. The program is coordinated by the municipal health secretariat together with the education department, and requires parental consent and submission of vaccination records, though lack of documentation will not block treatment.

Both actions are part of Brazil’s broader push to improve vaccine uptake through mobile outreach and school‑based delivery.
