Minas Gerais government rolls out service and infrastructure initiatives across the state

The state government of Minas Gerais advanced several local projects. In Governador Valadares, the university UNIVALE presented a manifesto to Governor Mateus Simões urging the construction of a multimodal terminal for grain storage and distribution, highlighting tax advantages and potential job creation for the Vale do Rio Doce region.

In Montes Claros, the Department of Transit (Detran-MG) held an itinerant medical examination session for people with disabilities, offering 48 appointments on June 22‑23 to reduce the need for travel to Belo Horizonte and expedite licensing procedures.

Meanwhile, a service hub in Divinópolis, part of the itinerant "Praça de Serviços" program, provided 6,882 free citizen services—ranging from identity documents and employment counseling to health and animal care—contributing to a total of 132,814 attendances since the program’s launch in March across dozens of Minas municipalities.
