Djavan marks 50-year career with biography release and national tour in Brazil

A biography of Brazilian singer‑songwriter Djavan, titled *Djavan – dizem que o amor atrai*, was launched on 22 August at Livraria das Perdizes in São Paulo. Written by researcher Tiago Ramos and Mattos and published by Trend Editora, the book chronicles Djavan’s life from his childhood in Maceió to his rise as a national and international music icon, featuring new interviews and a preface by Sara Laisse.

The same milestone is being celebrated with the “Djavanear 50 anos. Só Sucessos” tour, which began in May and will visit venues across the country. On 29 August the tour stops at Arena Opus in São José, Santa Catarina, presenting a set of at least 25 of Djavan’s biggest hits, including “Flor de Lis” and “Sina”. The concerts are produced by Live Nation Brasil and Luanda Promoções, with Banco do Brasil as sponsor and Eletromidia as media partner.
