Djavan 50-Year Career Celebration

In late July 2026, a new biography, *Djavan – dizem que o amor atrai*, was published to mark the Brazilian singer-songwriter’s five-decade career. Co-written by Tiago Ramos and Mattos and published by Trend Editora, the book recounts Djavan’s musical evolution, family background, and a 1987 invitation from Quincy Jones to contribute to Michael Jackson’s *Bad* album.

The biography was officially launched on 22 August at Livraria das Perdizes in São Paulo, featuring a preface by Sara Laisse.

To celebrate this milestone, Djavan launched the “Djavanear 50 anos – Só Sucessos” tour. The opening leg at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro saw tickets sell out within hours, prompting the addition of two extra shows. The setlist included classic hits such as “Sina,” “Eu te devoro,” “Boa noite,” “Cigano,” “Oceano,” and “Azul,” alongside a tribute to the late Gal Costa with a performance of “O Vento.”

The tour continued across Brazil, including a performance on 29 August at Arena Opus in São José, Santa Catarina. Beyond live concerts, the celebrations include the theatrical production “Djavan – O Musical: Vidas pra Contar,” which is scheduled to perform in São Luís at the Teatro Arthur Azevedo from 11 to 13 September. The concerts are produced by Live Nation Brasil and Luanda Promoções, sponsored by Banco do Brasil and partnered with Eletromidia.
