DMK attacks Tamil Nadu government over power cuts and BJP‑style tactics

Former Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji of the DMK accused the TVK‑led state administration of failing to address prolonged power outages, saying residents have endured six‑to‑12‑hour cuts that forced protests even at night. He criticized Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and Electricity Minister V. Senthilkumar for deflecting blame onto theft and sabotage, urging immediate remedial action.

DMK president and former chief minister M. K. Stalin echoed the criticism, claiming Vijay is copying the BJP’s approach by absorbing AIADMK legislators into his own ranks after initially securing their support. Stalin highlighted rising crime, unfulfilled promises and the same power‑cut issues as evidence of deteriorating governance, pledging the DMK to act as a vigilant opposition.

Both leaders called for swift measures to restore reliable electricity and protect public confidence in Tamil Nadu’s administration.
