Docomo Bank launches with up to 4.5% rewards and expands in‑store support

In August 2026, Sumishin SBI Net Bank changed its corporate name to 株式会社ドコモSMTBネット銀行 and unified its consumer brand under the new "Docomo Bank" name, ending the "d NEOBANK" brand. The service offers a maximum 4.5% point rebate on d‑card payments – 1% basic, up to 2% for account‑debit transactions, and up to 1.5% when linked with Monex Securities, subject to usage caps.

Docomo Bank will leverage roughly 2,000 existing Docomo shops, aiming to increase the number of locations that can provide full banking and securities support from about 200 today to 1,000 by the end of the fiscal year and over 1,500 within five years. The rollout is part of an OMO (online‑merges‑with‑offline) strategy that seeks to convert the telecom’s large d‑point member base into core financial users, cross‑selling higher‑margin products such as mortgages, asset‑management services, and loans. Analysts note that the sustainability of the high‑rebate scheme depends on converting these customers to higher‑value offerings.
