Doctor assaulted at Janakpurdham Provincial Hospital

An obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr. Saroj Sah, was allegedly assaulted by the relatives of a patient at the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham. The incident occurred during a dispute regarding a necessary Caesarean section for a patient in complex condition.

According to hospital officials, the conflict arose when the patient's relatives refused to sign a high-risk consent form, instead demanding that the doctor guarantee no complications would occur. The situation escalated when the relatives allegedly used abusive language and physically attacked Dr. Sah. The assault, involving several individuals, resulted in injuries to the doctor's face and body. Police have arrested one person in connection with the incident.
