Dodge reveals new Charger lineup with electric and six-cylinder options

Dodge is introducing the eighth generation of the Charger, featuring both internal combustion and electric powertrain options. The new lineup includes the Charger Daytona EV and the Charger Sixpack, which utilizes a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine to replace the traditional V8 HEMI.

For the electric Daytona models, Dodge has confirmed that the base R/T variant is technically capable of producing 500 horsepower, but this performance is software-locked. To access the full 500 HP, buyers must upgrade to the more expensive Scat Pack trim. While the R/T officially produces 456 HP, it shares identical electric motors and battery hardware with the Scat Pack, creating a price gap of approximately $11,600 for the software unlock.

In Europe, the Charger will be available via importer KW Automotive starting in September 2026. The European lineup will offer the Sixpack R/T with 420 HP and the Sixpack Scat Pack with 550 HP. The electric Daytona models can reach up to 670 HP when equipped with a 100.5 kWh battery. All European models will be available in two- or four-door configurations and will be left-hand drive only.
