Doing Business Angola conference in Lisbon draws Portuguese and Angolan officials
The fourth edition of the Doing Business Angola (DBA) conference took place on 15 July 2026 at the EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel in the Amoreiras district of Lisbon. The event, organized by Jornal Económico and Forbes África Lusófona, focused on the business environment and the oil sector in Angola and attracted senior officials from both countries.
Portuguese Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion Manuel Castro Almeida and Angolan Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Diamantino Azevedo attended. Madalena Oliveira e Silva, president of Portugal’s AICEP – Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo, and Arlindo das Chagas Rangel, president of Angola’s AIPEX – Agência de Investimento Privado e Promoção das Exportações, highlighted the relevance of foreign investment. Álvaro Fernão, president of the Instituto de Gestão de Ativos e Participações do Estado (IGAPE), presented the Propriv privatization programme.
The conference served as a platform for networking, panel discussions and the promotion of new business partnerships aimed at strengthening economic ties between Portugal and Angola.
