Dolly Parton musical and Dollywood holiday festivities announced
A new musical, Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol, is set to begin a US tour on November 14, 2026, at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton, West Virginia. Produced by Right Angle Entertainment and Paul T. Couch, the production adapts Charles Dickens’ classic tale by setting Ebenezer Scrooge in the 1930s Smoky Mountains. The show utilizes Dolly Parton’s songwriting, blending country, folk, and pop music to tell the story. The tour is expected to visit more than 20 cities across the United States.
Separately, Dollywood has announced the return of its Smoky Mountain Christmas festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Running from November 6, 2026, through January 3, 2027, the event features over 6 million lights and various seasonal attractions. Highlights include the “Snow in the Grove” display at Wildwood Grove, holiday shows such as “Christmas in the Smokies,” and a special performance by Dolly Parton’s niece, Heidi Parton. The festival also includes visits to Santa’s Smoky Mountain cabin and themed dining experiences.
