Holiday festivities in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Overview
Seasonal holiday celebrations are being hosted in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Dollywood is conducting its annual Smoky Mountain Christmas event, which features over six million lights across themed areas such as Santa’s Village, Glacier Ridge, and Craftsman’s Valley. The festival includes a five-mile coal-fired steam train loop, holiday-themed shows, and seasonal food. The 2026 festival runs from November 6 through January 3, 2027, and features attractions such as the “Snow in the Grove” display at Wildwood Grove, “Christmas in the Smokies” shows, and a performance by Heidi Parton.
Concurrently, Dolly Parton’s Stampede is hosting its annual Christmas dinner show from October 28 through January 3, 2027. The production utilizes a 35,000-square-foot arena with an LED backdrop to depict settings from the Great Smoky Mountains to Bethlehem. The show features a living Nativity, ice-skating, an aerial show inspired by The Nutcracker, and equestrian stunts involving 32 horses. Guests are served a four-course holiday feast.
The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud also offers seasonal dinner shows. Additionally, a new musical, Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol, is scheduled to begin a US tour on November 14, 2026. The production adapts the Charles Dickens classic by setting the story in the 1930s Smoky Mountains.
In support of the local community, Dollywood has announced Sevier County Days, running from November 6–15. During this period, Sevier County residents and workers may visit the Smoky Mountain Christmas event for a $5 donation to benefit local non-profit organizations.
