Dominican Army intercepts 76 Haitian nationals in border operations

Soldiers from the Dominican Army (ERD) intercepted 76 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory status during interdiction operations in the border provinces of Elías Piña and Dajabón.

In one operation near the communities of Sabana Mula and El Pon, a patrol intercepted 21 individuals, including nine men, 11 women, and one minor. Two motorcycles were seized during this intervention. In a separate operation near the El Libertador post in Dajabón, 23 individuals were detained while attempting to enter the country irregularly. Additional interceptions occurred near the Santa María checkpoint in Dajabón, involving 17 more individuals.
