Dominican Ministry of Interior and Police receives ISO certifications

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Interior and Police (MIP) has received recertification for its Integrated Management System under international standards ISO 9001 for Quality Management and ISO 37001:2025 for Anti-Bribery Management. The certification was granted by the Dominican Institute for Quality (INDOCAL) following a successful audit process.

The certifications cover three critical areas: the renewal of firearm licenses—which accounts for approximately 90% of the Ministry's citizen interactions—procurement and contracting, and nationality certification.

Minister of Interior and Police Faride Raful noted that the institution previously faced significant weaknesses, including over 150 unresolved findings. She emphasized that the current achievement demonstrates institutional transformation and a commitment to leaving behind solid processes that ensure transparency and democratic institutionalism.
